Plant-based Sausage Rolls
6 Bonsan Kofu Sausages
1 tsp dried sage
Black pepper
375g puff pastry
Sesame seeds, optional
Ketchup, for serving
Serves: 12
1. Preheat the oven to 200/180°c fan and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Place the sausages in a bowl and add in your dried sage and black pepper, then mash together to combine.
3. Split the puff pastry into thirds lengthways and equally distribute the sausage filling down the centre of each piece of pastry. Brush each pastry edge with water and then roll the pastry up to cover the sausage meat filling and seal the edges.
4. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into four equal pieces (if you want to make 12 sausage rolls in total).
5. Place the sausage rolls onto the baking tray, sprinkle them with some sesame seeds and put into the oven for 20-25 mins or until golden brown. Leave to cool for a few minutes before serving with a side of ketchup.
